Our payment schedule will depend on the amount of time it takes to complete a project and the size of the project. Typically if the project is small and less than two weeks, we require a down deposit. However, if the project is large and will take some time, we set up a bi-weekly pay schedule with the client.
No our estimate and first site visit is $75. After that, our planning stage is per hour as needed. This typically includes permits and other various tasks to get your project ready.
Our estimate is not a fixed price. Lots can change a project from rot to materials delays. However, we provide an estimate to get a basic idea of the cost. Talk to your contractor about your budget. A good builder will not try to get every penny but will work with you to meet your needs.
If your project requires a specific skill or trade, we will hire a sub-contractor.
This depends on the project. Typically our clients create a charge account at one of the local hardware stores and give my lead hand charge authorization.
We immediately bring the problem to your attention and discuss and develop the proper solutions to get your project back on track.
For most projects, we have a final walk-through with the clients. To make sure everything is done to their satisfaction.
We advise you to speak directly with the project manager about any complaints or problems. Once the situation is brought to our attention, it will be dealt with accordingly.
We take safety seriously. All staff are trained and certified in various certifications, licenses and Ontario regulations. If you see a safety hazard or are concerned, please let someone know immediately.
We do not charge for tool use but have a fee for various types of equipment, such as trailers and scaffolding. Therefore, it is always best to ask what equipment will be used and ensure it is on your estimate.
No, we do not Mark up materials. However, we do charge time for the pickup and delivery of materials.
The start and end dates are suggested dates, as a lot can change in a short period. Weather, supply chain and shipping are just a few things that can affect your start and end date. In addition, our schedule is constantly changing.
We do accept cash payment, but all applicable Taxes/fees will be on the invoice—no cash deals.
On rare occasions, we work evenings and weekends only when necessary to complete the project. We try our best to keep a good work-life balance. Best to contact us during business hours or send us an email.
Some Services we do not offer are Electrical work, advanced plumbing, welding, and pipe drilling. However, we have sub-trades for such projects and will always let you know if your project requires a subcontractor.
Although we have a large service area, We do not service south of Nestor falls, east of vermilion bay or west of the Manitoba border. Always talk to your tradespeople about travel Time and cost.
We typically start in January once ice reaches proper thickness and end on April 1st, depending on the weather. We will use snowmobiles and atv to extend our time travelling the ice roads, but safety is #1
